What do you get when combining recycled tires with the most advanced Japanese craftsmanship? The result comes from SEAL, a company that turns tire tubes into high quality bags. Keep reading to learn how!

I was as intrigued as you were when I first heard about SEAL and their premise: how could you turn old tires into something people would actually wear? Inspired by the spirit of recycling and environmental friendliness, this company has managed to create a line of bags, from briefcases to backpacks and weekend bags that look and feel high-quality and luxurious.

SEAL chose this material because its resistance to heat and impacts, as well as its original texture and waterproofness, which is a quality that makes a lot of sense when talking about carrying accessories.

Besides a strong build and great looks, you also get the benefit of having a product that is totally unique. Due to the nature of the material, each scrap of tire tube has its own individual identity, which means that every product is different.

I had the chance to get my hands on one of their messenger bags, and I have to say that I’m amazed at its construction quality. Probably the most burning question most of you will have at this point is if the bags actually look like you’re carrying and old tire everywhere, to which I respond: do any of these pictures make the guys look like they’re carrying an old tire? Exactly my thoughts.

If you’re looking for a high-end look and hand-made quality for an everyday messenger bag or backpack, or your next travel bag, then definitely take a look at SEAL’s line and be proud to wear something that’s stylish with a cause.

Until next time,
