As you probably read somewhere on my social profiles, this year I went to Coachella (weekend 2) for the first time, and oh boy did I had a blast. It really was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to go back again in the future.
Now that I’m back I want to share a little bit more of what I did, who I saw and what I wore. Even though this is a music festival before anything else, clothes definitely play an important role on the whole experience. With that said, I honestly think that you’ll be more able to enjoy yourself if you keep it comfy and simple. If there’s one takeaway I can give you from the whole weekend is this: don’t wear something just because you want people to notice you, because they most definitely won’t care about it.
This time I partnered up with Sperry Mexico and wore a different pair of boat shoes every day. I think Sperrys are great footwear option for things like these because they leave some space for your feet to breathe a little bit, they protect you a lot more and are more comfortable than sandals and are sturdy enough to survive whatever the day may bring.
With this being said, here’s a little recap for each day:
Hawaiian patterned shirt
Sahara Leather Sperry boat shoes
Favorite acts: BØRNS, Years & Years, Ellie Goulding, Jack Ü
Plain white t-shirt
Black denim jeans
Kingsley Rowe Beckett
Black Sperry boat shoes
Favorite acts: Disclosure, CHVRCHES, Ice Cube
Polka dot blue shirt
Classic Brown Leather Sperry boat shoes
Favorite acts: Alessia Cara, Calvin Harris, Sia, The 1975, Major Lazer (also Despacio and the DO LAB where the bomb!)
Whatever you end up wearing, wear it for yourself; Coachella is such a liberating and judgement-free experience that there’s absolutely room for experimenting, but don’t do so at the expense of being comfortable. Always keep in mind that you will be spending a lot of time walking and standing in the sun, wanting to die from the heat. And, most important of all, don’t forget to enjoy the music!
Until next time,
