April 20, 2018

After last year’s fiasco with a festival that never ended happening, this year I was lucky enough to attend Coachella for the second time.

My experience wasn’t all that different from the one in 2016, but this time the list of artists I wanted to see was way bigger and the scheduling conflicts had me pretty bummed. Since last time I had experienced weekend 2 I felt like I needed to see what weekend 1 was all about.

With Beyoncé being a headliner, I understood immediately that her show would end up being one of the biggest acts in the history of the festival, and because of that I had to sacrifice some performances that I would have loved to check out. In the end I can say it was 100% worth it though; her concert was surreal and it’s hands down the best music concert I have attended in my life.

Even though I tend to avoid this type of events (I’m not a fan of being in a hurry, staying long hours outdoors in the sun and being in the same place with literally hundreds of thousands of people), Coachella is definitely in a whole different category and it’s worth every single minute you spend on the grounds. I’ve been asked before how many times do I plan to attend the festival and I’m not really sure I have an answer. The best one I can give right now is that given the opportunity, I will do it all over again as many times as I’m able to.

For now, I leave you with the recap of the bands I saw and the clothes I wore. I shared a ton of Instagram Stories with more moments from the weekend. I hope you enjoy them!

Life After Denim total look:

Cozumel Short Sleeve Shirt

Zuma Shorts, Medium Grey

Leotony Yaki, Sunglasses in Velvety Silver

GREATS Royale Perforated Blanco Sneakers

LÉON (literally the one I was most excited about from all the lineup bands), The Weeknd, SZA, Kali Uchis, Vince Staples, Kygo, Los Ángeles Azules, Kelela.

Biggest regret: Missing St. Vincent.

Fav discovery: Tank and the Bangas.

Vintage Land’s End Stripped Shirt

H&M Shorts

Privé Revaux The Assassin Sunglasses

Nike Air Force 1 Low Sneakers

Beyoncé. Even though I don’t consider myself a huge fan of hers it can’t be denied that she is probably the most talented entertainer alive right now. Her set was amazing and it made it totally worth it being on my feet for more than five hours waiting for her because I ended up seeing her from very close. It still feels like a dream.

HAIM, BORNS, Sigrid, MO.

Biggest regret: Missing Jorja Smith 😭

Fav discovery: First Aid Kit

Guillermo Jester Shirt

ZARA Denim Shorts

GREATS Royale Perforated Blanco Sneakers

Hayley Kiyoko, Cardi B, Portugal The Man, Vance Joy, Aminé, The Drums, San Holo, THEY

Biggest regret: Missing Jessie Ware

Fav discovery: Ibeyi

Thanks again to GREATS, Life After Denim, Leotony and Privé Revaux for sponsoring my Coachella looks!

Until next time,
